In this 3 hour session you will be guided through the step by step technique of saw piercing using a jewellery saw. An essential tool in any jewellers toolkit, which once mastered can offer endless possibilities.  There is no pressure to create a finished piece in this class, simply embrace the joy of making with your hands.
 
Aubin will demonstrate how to saw pierce effectively and you create your own intricate pattern in sheet metal.  With only 2 participants in the session you will have plenty room to take your time to ask questions and receive one to one guidance.
 
Although this taster workshop is aimed at beginners, an eye for detail, good dexterity, patience and practice are essential to master this technique. 
 
All materials will be provided and a choice of brass, copper or aluminium will be supplied. This workshop will take place at my studio at Deemouth Artist Studios, Torry, Aberdeen which is a 10 minute walk from either the Aberdeen Train or Bus Station. There is also a car park on site with free parking subject to availibility and the local bus service has a stop nearby the studio.
