SELF ISOLATION

AND WORKING FROM HOME IN YOUR JAMMIES IS OK

When I tell people that I am a creative freelancer and that I work from home, they often say things like 'Oh, I wish I could do do that' or 'You are so lucky!'. Well then, here we are on lock-down all working from home, I am pretty sure a few of those opinions have changed! Juggling your work life with family life and the endless pile of domestic chores that you can see out of the corner of your eye is really not that simple. Especially when you nip to the loo or make a cuppa and see the sink is full of dishes or your mental cat has upturned the bin looking for scraps........

It takes time, practice and incredible stamina to navigate around all the distractions that come with working from home. Motivation can be tough without a team of ace colleagues within elbow bumping distance, but on the flipside motivation can be so much higher without a boss breathing down your neck too. My advice would be to leave the washing till later, put your phone away and it's definitely, definitely ok to watch some telly at lunchtime, you deserve it. And cut yourself some slack, it's really hard to adjust to working from home. Some days you'll get a lot done and other days you won't. And some days you'll just eat biscuits, like a lot of biscuits.

STAY SAFE AND SANE PEOPLE.
